Team Drona was invited to Thar Fest in Kochi on the 15th of October, 2017. We departed for Kerala by train on the 13th of October, 2017 and the train journey took a tedious 27 hours. The train itself was 5 hours late so we had to go directly to the venue, CIAL Convention Centre from the station. The picturesque view along the way made up for tedious journey.
All Set for That Fest
Thar Fest is an event organized by Mahindra & Mahindra Co specifically for its SUV Owners as a gathering of Off-Road and Mahindra SUV Enthusiasts. The event features several action-packed adrenaline fuelled activities including Off-Roading, exhibition, live music and a few indoor activities.

Part of these activities was our Pluto Experience Zone specially set up for 100 Premium Mahindra Thar owners to enjoy a hands-on experience of flying Pluto around an arena which was made up of 3 loops. Participants had a great time and experience flying Pluto as it was something new and innovative for them and they enjoyed the stability and durability of pluto. Most of the participants successfully completed the course and a 10 year old girl, who flew Pluto really well despite being so young earned herself an Ace Pilot badge and was really happy with the experience as well.

Thar Fest as an event in itself was a really great experience for Team Drona. The exhibits were interesting and we really liked the heritage vehicle, a 100 year old Jeep Willys and the demonstrations of the Mahindra Thar’s off road capabilities were also really exciting to watch. The venue was huge and magnificent to look at and Team Drona had a great time contributing to this event with the Pluto Experience Zone.
